The Chef
Growing up on the East Coast, it was at the age of 13 when David Whitaker, also known as Chef Jay, realized he had a passion for cooking. By the age of 16, he had mastered many dishes, but still had a long way to go. It was in his 20s when he started working in different restaurants to strengthen his skills. He began to challenge seasoned chefs in cook-offs and would always come out on top.

In 2017, during his journey in mastering his craft, he moved to Arkansas and married the love of his life, Nedra. They have three handsome sons whom they work hard to build a solid foundation for now and in the future. They love to serve God and his people together. He believes in using the gift that God has given him.

The Catering Company
Red Sea Cooking & Catering was started in 2017 to give people real tasting and flavorful food. We choose the best ingredients to ensure that we provide top notch dishes.

Red Sea Cooking & Catering received its name from Chef Jay studying the word of God and remembering how Moses freed the people from Egypt. As they were going through the Red Sea, they had to keep the faith and continue trusting in God to push forward. Chef Jay's plan is to keep trusting God and keep bringing the best of the best from Red Sea Cooking & Catering.
